Redactive has scooped the Best Development of an Existing Conference Award for the 2014 Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Annual Conference at the UK Conference Awards 2015. The awards ceremony was held at lunchtime on Friday at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham.
Redactive beat stiff competition from nine other events shortlisted for the award to take the title.
The RCM Annual Conference provides midwives and other maternity team members, managers, educators, commissioners and policy formers with the opportunity to meet together in a unique forum for discussion, learning and inspiration sharing. Redactive has had ownership of the RCM Annual Conference since 2013 and has worked over the past two years on achieving the RCM’s two main objectives for the conference – to improve engagement levels and provide a platform for product showcasing – through responding to audience needs while keeping a strong commercial awareness to ensure financial viability.
The judges of the category were looking for innovation, expertise and success in all areas from research to creativity and achieving financial targets. With a year on year increase in all delegate bookings, a band with a student midwife as its lead singer and a social media campaign that made 13,763,464 impressions and trended on Twitter (UK), the conference clearly met the criteria, and Redactive is delighted that our hard work has been recognised at such a prestigious ceremony.
Redactive was also a finalist for the Best Awards Team alongside EMAP, Informa, UBM and others, but narrowly missed out on taking home a second trophy.
