Thursday 17th March saw the launch of the 2016 Professional Body Sector Review, an annual publication from the Professional Associations Research Network (PARN), which was published for the first time by Redactive. A long time supporter and partner of PARN, this year we stepped up to the task of producing the Review which helps to define the professional body sector, focusing on its distinctiveness, challenges and trends.
The 2016 Review looks to the future and examines anticipated challenges and developments in the sector, arising from technical and political changes in the landscape, as well as from strategic developments initiated by professional bodies. Twenty articles contributed by leading organisations including ACCA, IMechE, CIPR and AAT share thought leadership and advice which can be applied by membership organisations in any sector. PARN and Redactive’s aim for the Review is to provide valuable content that helps PARN members and the wider professional body community to advance their organisations.
In response to a brief to complement the content and highlight key ideas, Redactive created a structure and design for the publication using the theme of nature as a thread throughout. Strong layered imagery, a warm colour palette and interaction between the content and graphics take the Review far beyond a standard sector report and position it as an authoritative publication, as well as an accessible and enjoyable read.
As Andy Friedman, CEO of PARN, explained: “We’re delighted to have partnered with the creative design team at Redactive for our annual publication, which this year focuses on future challenges and anticipated developments for the professional body sector. We hope the partnership has resulted in bringing key issues facing the sector to life in an innovative and exciting way.”
