Redactive is delighted to be shortlisted for the second year running in the Institute of Internal Communications (IoIC) Awards.
We have made the shortlist in two categories – Membership Publication for The Actuary magazine and Re-launched Publication for Childcare Professional.
The Actuary magazine is the official magazine of The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and has been providing in-depth, authoritative coverage of all things actuarial for over 20 years. Combining comprehensive news coverage and comment with specialist features, interviews, player profiles, opinion and brainteasers, the magazine is designed to engage, challenge and entertain its knowledgeable audience. The Actuary is distributed monthly to all members of IFoA (both qualified actuaries and students) at home and abroad. The Redactive team behind The Actuary magazine works closely with IFoA’s working parties and research groups to reflect the latest in best practice, as well as emerging challenges for actuaries. As such, the magazine’s agenda is set in partnership with members, ensuring readers feel a strong sense of ownership of the title because it reflects their community and supports their goals.
Childcare Professional is the quarterly membership magazine of the Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) and reaches 30,000 professionals. The magazine is a ‘must-read’ for PACEY’s members, offering latest news and policy updates as well as practical ideas and suggestions for improving their practice. During 2015, we worked with PACEY to redesign, restructure and improve the navigation of the magazine, present the content in an accessible way and provide members with the information they need to support them in their roles, ultimately improving the overall reader experience. The redesign took place in conjunction with a larger brand review for PACEY, including a major overhaul of the website. The response to the redesign has been overwhelmingly positive: in a recent readership survey, 83% and 82% of those questioned rated the redesigned magazine four or five (out of five) for content and design respectively. And in the same survey, 92% agreed that they used the magazine’s tips and advice in their work, with 83% agreeing that Childcare Professional provides information to support members in their work and career.
