Connections – the official magazine for NICEIC and ELECSA registered electrical contractors – has been given a makeover.
The redesigned magazine features a new more compact size and is perfect bound rather than saddle stitched for the first time in its history. Connections’ content mix has been refreshed to ensure it continues to provide contractors with the technical information they need to perform their jobs and the inspiration and advice to grow their businesses. The magazine features a redesigned ‘Technical’ section with its own dedicated cover and an enhanced ‘Caught on Camera’ section, giving more space to one of the most popular parts of the magazine.
Connections will also be taking a fresh approach to its front covers with conceptual issue-based imagery replacing portrait photography to give the magazine a more modern look and feel.
Nick Martindale, Editor, said ‘the previous format had served NICEIC, ELECSA and their contractors well for a number of years but the magazine was due a refresh to ensure it retained both its visual appeal and modern identity. This is reflected in both the smaller paper format and the new cover treatment’.
‘Following readership research, we have developed a number of new elements to the magazine while expanding elements which we know are valued highly by readers, including the Technical and Caught on Camera sections. We have already received some very positive feedback from contractors, advertisers and Certsure (the holding company of NICEIC and ELECSA), and will be carrying out further readership research in the near future’.
