The British Horse Society (BHS) has awarded the advertising sales and design contract for its flagship title to Redactive after a competitive pitch.
Representation of British Horse magazine, the highest circulation title for equestrian enthusiasts with an ABC of over 88,000 per issue, moves to Redactive with effect from the 8th March 2018 for publishing from June 2018 issue onwards.
The circulation of the glossy 96-page magazine, published five times a year and sent to BHS members at their home addresses, has significantly grown over the last five years, and shows no sign of halting. Redactive has been appointed to bring a fresh approach to the much-loved membership magazine that boasts a strong, loyal and engaged readership. The highly regarded publication will undergo a full editorial redesign this year, which will give readers a contemporary design and an exciting new content mix through a wide range of editorial subjects that develop member knowledge and understanding.
Natasha Eastwood, Membership and Communication Director of BHS said “We’re delighted to be working with the Redactive team on our membership magazine, British Horse. Last year we reached 100,000 members and we want to ensure we provide them with an insightful, and engaging magazine which brings our Charity and all of its work to life, as well as topical industry news “
Joanna Marsh, Director of Redactive, said: “It is hard to stop grinning after winning the BHS account; we are all absolutely delighted and cannot wait start working with the BHS team. The audience reach and profile for British Horse readers is unparalleled with no other equine magazine coming close to the 90k + equestrians we can target with each issue. We are so excited about helping BHS reach their market potential. Print magazines offer brands a very effective environment for their advertising with British Horse giving the widest possible coverage in the market and a considerable shelf life. We know British Horse readers are truly engaged with the magazine and value the brands that advertise within its pages. With a new exciting design refresh planned for the June 2018 issue there are innovations we want to discuss and develop with our advertiser base. We also look forward to working with BHS as their website develops which presents further opportunities for brands to take a multi-platform approach to their marketing campaigns.”
For Redactive, the win means that we are now able to offer advertisers and their agencies unique access to a new very large high net worth audience, which sits alongside our extensive audience reach alongside the largest circulating magazine in the UK (National Trust Magazine – over 2.4m circulation*) and the largest free business magazine (First Voice of the Federation of Small Businesses -155k circulation).
The first new-look edition of British Horse will be published later this year.
