From the awesome craftsmanship that goes into the creation of a cover to the detail with which infographics are conceived to deliver complex information in attention-grabbing form, Public Finance magazine is a stellar example of Redactive’s commitment to creative innovation.
And this year we’re thrilled that this has been recognised by The Drum Design Awards – shortlisting the membership journal of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) in the Editorial Design category.
During 2020 Public Finance underwent a complete overhaul after reader research revealed the need to deliver more high-level, ‘big-picture’ content giving readers a deep understanding of the major issues affecting their industry – while receiving news through CIPFA’s digital channels.
Now Public Finance has a cleaner, highly engaging design that’s more akin to a coffee-table magazine than a traditional trade publication. Bold covers and content illustrations demand attention, while deep-dive infographics allow readers to slow down and digest crucial data to help them do their jobs.
This clearly caught the attention of The Drum’s judging panel, as CIPFA’s membership journal is up against stiff competition that includes Channel 4 and The Telegraph.
The winner will be announced at the virtual awards show on Thursday 20 May.
