Whoops of delight yesterday as Redactive’s multi-channel media brand IOSH magazine, published on behalf of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), walked away with Gold in one of the most hotly contested categories at The International Content Marketing Awards 2021.
For the second year running the ‘Best Membership’ award will be sitting proudly in the Redactive trophy cabinet. This year for our team’s phenomenal efforts on behalf of IOSH during a period when the role of its membership publication and digital channels had never been more crucial.
Just six months after Redactive was appointed to produce IOSH magazine, Covid-19 turned the world upside down.
Occupational safety and health professionals were thrust into the spotlight and onto the frontline. Facing an unprecedented situation that would test their skills to new levels as they were required to help their organisations adapt to create Covid-secure workplaces, ensure the wellbeing of remote working employees, as well as maintaining their own resilience to the challenges presented.
Gold-standard, trustworthy information and advice – delivered with clarity, agility and creativity – is what they had come to expect and rely on from their new-look membership publication. And it is what IOSH magazine delivered across print, digital, broadcast and its award-winning e-newsletter.
Attuned to media consumption trends, IOSH magazine increasingly created content that IOSH members could watch and listen to. The period covered by the awards saw an ever-more innovative use of video and animation on YouTube reach an audience far beyond the Institution’s membership. A series of podcasts, too, offered insights and inspiration on-the-go. While IOSH magazine webinars stimulated debate and discussion.
